He is also the twit who yanked the licenses of the Mac clone makers. Don't get
me wrong -- MacOS X is an impressive piece of work, reflecting the high
technical standards of Apple. But unless the Mac architecture is manufactured in
mass-market numbers, it will never emerge from it's niche.

As for an x86 port -- Apple shows no signs of doing that. Only the open source
part of MacOS X -- Darwin -- has been ported to Intel. Apple shows no signs of
porting the rest -- Carbon, Cocoa, Aqua, etc to x86.

This is typical Apple -- build a better mousetrap and then get their fingers
caught in it!
