Meeting for August?

Hi guys,
I have been only reading the archives off thaths' machine, or
calling up other ilugc members and suchlike to keep myself updated,..so if
this has already been discussed, apologies..

1] When is the meeting for the month of August? I, for one will be
leaving for Madurai on Thursday, August 17th and returning only Sunday
Morning. Therefore *I* would prefer Sunday evening, instead of
Saturday..but of course, public demand shall prevail.

2] Whats on the agenda? I have some personal suggestions/requests
to make:

	a) Dr.Sriram's much-awaited sendmail talks?
	b) some guy on ilug-bom said something about thaths sending some
mail to all the admin guys...about potato cds...and archan also said
something about it and it required that people discuss it, in the meet --
will prabhu/archan/whoever look into this? (my email setup is very broken,
and I lost a buncha emails, too...)
	c) I just saw some mail from thaths about formalising Linux-India
and wanted suggestions/recommendations/guidelines/advice/blah from all LUG
people..etc... so we need to discuss this point, as well.
	d) there was a post from udhay shankar in bangalore, to
linux-india..about "cypherpunks" .. this is an international cryptography
thingie... a club or group where people discuss more about the political
aspects, and also a bit about the technical aspects of cryptography
itself. this udhay wants to start (the first in india?) a chapter in
bangalore..and solicited help/volunteers/blah blah...I liked the concept
and some searching on the WWW provided interesting results.... now, a) do
we need/want/require a chapter in madras at all? b) are there enough
people interested? c) would we be willing to engage in a partnership with
the bangalore guys and be members or somesuch there -- of course, there's
no use, because we cant attend meetings... duh ... maybe this could be
discussed in the next meeting.
	e) the latest CHIP magazine had helix gnome on it, IIRC, and helix
is ultra cool...maybe someone should arrange for the cd(s), machine(s) and
arrange for a demo.... (only a suggestion)

in the meantime, AFAIK, openbsd 2.7, freebsd 4.1 came out...if
someone had cds..we could demo them maybe. Arvind -- you had wanted to
demo 2.6, nicht?

offtopic: congrats to zameer for becoming one year wiser and
older, and thanks in advance for the massive birthday surprise treat that
he has planned and kept so secretly, from us, for all of us *wink*

	cheers

	-Ravi
