-> NO; because I could not locate it. Anyway todays apt-get upgrade downloaded another 40

	[pts/1] [10:46:43] ravi@rockford [~]$ dlocate -S dexter
	xserver-common: /usr/bin/dexter
	xserver-common: /usr/share/man/man1/dexter.1.gz

	[pts/1] [10:49:10] ravi@rockford [~]$ dpkg -p xserver-common | grep Ver
	Version: 4.0.1-3

From the man page of dexter(1):
	NAME
dexter - generate XFree86 X server configuration file
	[...]
	DESCRIPTION
Dexter (an incomplete acronym that means "Debian X Config
urator") is a simple dialog-based tool used to generate a
basic XF86Config file for either XFree86 version 3 or ver
sion 4 servers. It only generates XF86Config files for
XFree86 version 3 if the detected or chosen video hardware
is not supported by XFree86 version 4.

-> But at the end my x is up.

	Good :)
What Video Card is this, anyway? My notebook uses a Chips & Technologies CT 6555 and its got 2 megs of onboard VRAM, IIRC.

-> one of the packages in the 40 odd MB was xbase clients.

To upgrade your X server, I think you would but need to "apt-get install task-x-window-system" only.

-> I did not notice any other that may be relevant;but I am not certain.

Actually, even I'm not certain, but task-* was specifically meant for that, wasn't it?!

-> Anyway, thats the curse^H^H^H^H^H charm of unstable is it not?

Heh. Do any of you actually run Experimental? I am wondering if I should, ... infact, my other machine _is_ lying around idle, but I just dont have the bandwidth :(
