since the card was not autodetected while installing,open up the box and
know what kind of a card is it ISA/PCI, then try to get a utility which
come with all the cards know the irq settings of the card then give the
same for the card.

most of the cards work with ne2000, check swapping the card if possible

it is giving 0% loss its  working , your messages from ifconfig will
give you clues for what to do.
