At last, I read the Outlook article. I feel it is quite fair from a
Journo's viewpoint. The author has tried to get both sides of the story
(since all of us are definitely touting Linux as an alternative to Win). The question of ILUG-Delhi member being `manhandled' is of course to
be questioned! Still, I feel that we should write a more `technical' (but
not jargoned) article aimed at general public. Specifically mentioning the
`support' (both commercial and non-commerical) to Linux. Commercial
packages being available, applications based on Windows being ported to
Linux (Corel, Matlab for eg.) and so on. (No M$ bashing if it can be
helped!, but diplomatically answering all the questions raised by M$
employees in that article - of course, now with the elections on,
statements by M$ representatives sounds very much alike the familar
speeches!!). I don't see why so much anger is vented over the article. One
should realise that the author is not a `devotee' of Linux!
