[LI] line speed on USR 56 Kbps Modem in linux

Dear friends

I am using kppp on RH5.2 for connecting to internet  (USR 56 Kbps Modem)
Modem not communicating  if line speed is more than 33.6 kbps
some time it is connecting 37 kbps or above then no username prompt is
getting only a streems of ascii characters are comming .  modem Init. string
- - ATX1 .  I  tried with s10=200 etc......

But in window$   is getting  more line speed.  is there any com port
settings?
