Re: WINE problem



You don't have to tell me, or anybody else on this list, how great Linux is.
You've quite correctly pointed out that Wine isn't running smoothly now and
will run smoothly later. I couldn't agree with you more. But that's
precisely my point. Till such time that Wine becomes good enough, why bear
the pain of messing around with something that just isn't usable. The basic
idea behind Linux is increased productivity, you don't have to click around,
you get what you exactly want, even though you may have to work for it.
Having said that, I see no harm in keeping Windows around just for the
things that need Windows. A lean and mean installation of Windows wouldn't
really eat up too much hard disk space and it will make life a lot easier.
