informit.com has lots of books on various topics and i think it's a very good resource. including a "Linux Infobase" < http://infobase.informit.com/linux/ which has 11 complete books>. you can read the entire book online, and, of course, save them to your hard disk. another good site itknowledge.com is going to be closed for ever on feb 28. till then you browse and read their free archive at http://www.itknowledge.com/reference/dir.archive1.html.
