And then there is libreadline which is under GPL.  The makers of ncftp had
to change their license to GPL because they were using libreadline.

And there is the (in)famous case of KDE.  QT was under QPL.  And the KDE
apps being developed were under GPL.  People argued that QT was infected by
the apps being GPL-ed.  This was why Debian stopped bundling KDE.

This situation has changed since QT 2.x
