hi rather than putt the blame squarely on the OS , please let us know the
situation under which your programs failed to operate normally.
The problem could be with some quiaint fetaure of JDK which was not well
implemented in the version of JDK [may be  a pre-rel from blackdwn] taht you
are using and not due to the OS per se.
And also, if you talk about migrating, wouldn' t it be more appropriate to
take in terms of kernel builds rather than distro versions of a particular
distro ??
