Static IP

I want a static IP for my work as some people need to log on to my machine from outside for work. I have an ISDN dial-up connection.

Can anyone tell me the way to get a static IP. I was told VSNL is the only ISP that gives out IP's.

And the VSNL rep told me that you should have a leased line before you get a static IP.

Any suggestions?

Vivek

Hi,
The public IP Address are allotted from APNIC and may be provided thru your
ISP etc. These Ip Addresses shall be unique.
If u work with pvt IP address space then u are not supposed on the public
net with pvt address space. Pls use an NAT(Network Address Translator)
otherwise.
