hw config+ openBSD+ deb

Hi everybody,

  i am planning 2 buy a new comp and would like to know what
hw is compatible with linux... i know that there are lists of
compatible hardware available, but i wanted to have an idea of
what is available in chennai and at around what price.. my budget
is around 40k (without CVT/UPS).. there have been some problems
with support in i810 and i820 motherboards and builtin sound/gfx
cards.. is AMD K6/ K7/Athlon fully supported by lx?

  i'd also to know where to get my hands on the latest OpenBSD CD
and the latest in debian (potato)..
