I dont know much about Exchange server.
But, is the NT machine (spp.hisl.co.in) configured to receive mail as
anything@xxxxxxxxxx ? 

In Linux (sendmail) terms, one has to give

Cw hisl.co.in

Exchange will have something similar...

PS: Why dont you try out some newsgroups (or search in the postings on
deja.com or linuxsearch.com)? Will surely get some hints...
