[LI] Apache error

I am trying to run search.pl , perl cgi and am encountering the following
problem:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable
to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of
the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have
caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

This is what the error_log at /etc/httpd/error_log file says:

[Sat Jan 29 14:46:22 2000] [error] [client 164.100.242.138] Premature end of
script headers: /home/httpd/cgi-bin/search.pl
