[LI] VFS: Disk Change detected om device ide0(3,0)

Hi all!

I upgraded to RH 6.1 from the PCQ CD around 1st week of December last
year. The system is a rack-mounted Compaq Proliant 1600 with an NCR
53c876 and a couple of Compaq Hot Swappable SCSI HDDs. The CD-ROM is
on the IDE channel.

The problem is that when someone logs in on GNOME, a kernel error is
generated:
VFS: Disk Change detected om device ide0(3,0)
The message is repeated multiple times!

Now, ide0 is the CDROm and the drive is empty at that time and has
been so between reboots!

Any idea as to why this should be happening!

Also, how to use KUDZU? When i try to use kudzu, the machine doesn't
respond for some time as if processing the request and then I get
dumped back to the shell!

tia,
sachin
