[LI] Configuring Remote Printer

Hi List,
       I have not got any response for my previous mails on some doubts I have
on SQUID,Disk Quotas and Access-Lists implementation in SQUID. If this is not
the right forum pls do let me know. Why I'm saying this is I see lot of 
discussions going on the programming side rather that Administration Side.
So if I'm on the wrong forum pls do let me know.

In the mean time I have another problem. I want to configure a remote printer
from our Linux RH6.1 Server. The printer is a Line Printer C-ITOH model and
CI-600Q is the model number. I ran the printtool utility and setup the remote
printer. Also on the system where the printer is connected I created a file
in /etc hosts.lpd and an entry was put for the Linux Server. The server to
which the printer is connected is a NCR-3550 AT&T Unix server. The printer
type is selected was Textonly Printer as there was no drivers for the printer
we have.

Even though the setup did'nt give any error msgs when I tested the remote
printer using the tests command it simply said printed to lp that's it.
But the test printout did'nt come.

My doubt is,whether the remote system should also be a LRH server or can it
be any Unix Server?. 

Request for any leads in this regard and also for the previous doubts.
