[LI] Dynamic DNS?

Recently I acquired a Mantraonline account for dialup access from home.
Although I have had repeated conversations and email exchanges with their
support staff I am still having a problem. Mantra uses Dynamic hosts i.e. in
other words while users are connected to their servers (hosts) and if a host
fails or is down for some reason they immediately switch to another. This
means that the IP address changes. Now through Win95 this dynamic change
doesn't seem to create a problem but on Linux my dialup stalls! I have made
the right entries in the dialup (am using PPP dialup utility on RHL6.1 & Gnome)
but still after I get connected and after a few minutes my connection
completely stalls. After checking out various settings it still happens.
Mantra techie says that linux is not fully supported so they can't handle
this. Any Guru on this list make any sense of all this -- because I can't
believe linux cannot handle dynamic hosts.
TIA,
RKA
