I tried bootnet.img and tried booting from. It loaded the vmlinuz and then
boot failed and asked me to insert boot floppy and press any key to
continue.

Should that be because of some boot floppy creations problems or anything
else. my system is a intel PII 333 system and will that have anything to do
with it.
