[LI] Staroffice installation

I am trying to install staroffice 50 from chip special cd2 but it gives
message that certain lib files are has to be installed and check out
readme file to know how to install it.
When i am installing it i have to run command ./soprep.
After running this command i have to run a command ./gidrinst force.
After this none of my command works.
Like issueing ls command it gives error like /bin/ls no such file or
directory.
my shutdown command also not working and i can not shut down my x
server.
i have to kill the process with clt+alt+backspace.
And then my computer can not reboot saying shutdown no such file or
directory.
I also can not login as different user.
I have to reinstall linux.
I have tried it two times.
Please guide me how to install staroffice.
One alt. is i should ignore lib. not found message at startning of
./setup
will it work?
Please guide me soon.
