Hi people,

Here I am. Seems there is no other card at 8 MB AGP which fits my pocket
and is also available in Pune but the dearest, most charming SiS6326.
There are some doubts I have. Those of you who have used this card,
please provide me with help. The background is this.. I have SiS6215
with me, at 1 MB VRAM. In absence of anything better within reasonable
limit for my non-gaming habits, I wish to change to a card which is
cheap and provides 8 MB, fitting in AGP. I have the following
questions.. after digesting the mails posted here.

Are there any problems related to this card, specifically? I mean, I
am    myself running this card at 1024x768 at 8 bpp. Is there a
particular    resolution this card will not support or will snow at? We
have had a    discussion about this card giving problems at 800x600 and
16 bpp. Have the respective owners been able to resolve it? Another
thing, is SiS 6326 avaiable with 8 MB VRAM or is my vendour selling me
some patch-up?
   
In short, is it safe to buy this card for full screen movies [does it
play well?] + 800x600, 1024x768 at 16 bpp Aren't these colours
sufficient for most of us?]. Those who use it for movies, do they have
any problems? Those who STILL have problems, please highlight it so that
if there is some trap somewhere, I may not fall into that by investing
my own hard earned money. I plan to place the order in some hours, so
immediate help will be really appreciated and a treat is promised to
those who help me, if/when we meet :-) an elaborated asnwer will be most
appreciated.
