This was what I had in Rh5.2; 2nd field deleted for some users so that when
they log in there is no password prompt. Now in RH6.1 such thing do not allow
me to log in.

Thanks for UR comments but actually it is this version RH6.1 thinks any string
as a valid password => no CRC check
