why not ????!!!
Even though the IP address is server assigned, it is unique
if you use wvdial etc. it does tell you the IP address assigned  to
you by the server. And if somebody is telneting to that IP address from
another
machine using a different or same ISP then his ISP should be able to resolve
the hostname. correct me if I am wrong, as I am absolutely new to
networking.
