[LI] telnet problem!!!

hello,
  we have two linux servers. from one of the win95 machine i can not do
the telnet to the linux server. After 5 sec the message i got is
"connection to host lost". but pine to the same server gives reply. but
i can do telnet to the same server by connecting to the another server
first. from another win95 machine i can easily do telnet to both
machine. why this happen.? give me a solution.

if i logon to the server directly and then using pine i can not use it.
but if i connecting to the server through another server i can do pine
also. give a solution. linux version is 5.2
