[LI] RPm signature failed

Hello Folks,
I download in linux using wget. whenever I download a file
basically and rpm or a deb file, it seems to be corrupted.
I am unable to understand why ?
when I do a rpm -K --nopgp file.rpm, it says
RPM signature failed. This is happening with every file I
download with wget. Any pointers as to why this behaviour??
This also happens with Netscape, but I dunno how I was able
to download wine (RPM) which gave no problems.
I am trying to download the scotty rpm from rufus and also
from SuSE Site, but I have downloaded the same file
around 15-20 times without any luck. But, when I download
a tar.gz file or a .bz2 file, they uncompress without any
problem. As a matter of fact, i am using kernel 2.2.13 which I downloaded
using wget ( a .bz2 file ) and which is running fine.
I am trying to download debian files which also seem to get
corrupted now !! I am at a loss as to what the problem might be !!
Any help would be appreciated !!
