I am sending my lilo.conf. Have a look and see whether it is useful.
i am having 3.8 GB HDD. I partitioned 2 GB for windows and 1.8 GB for linux.

PASSWORD=suri
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=10
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-15
	label=linux
	root=/dev/hda7
	read-only
other=/dev/hda1
	label=dos
	table=/dev/hda
