If one has physical access then one can break into the system in many ways.

Ex: 	The 3 main ways of doing this are

	a) linux single
	
	b) Booting from a Floppy based Linux system on that m/c and accessing
its harddisks. You see you are the root know and not the actual root as far as
the system on the harddisk is concerned.

	c) Putting the Harddisk on someother m/c for which you are ROOT and
accessing this harddisk


This is not a problem with Linux only, this is the problem with any OS when you
have a UNENCRYPTED FileSystem. 

i.e the Reason NT2000 will be supporting kerbos based NTFS system.

In linux also you have support for encrypted filesystems. Theoretically even
these can be broken, But practicaly they are safe.
