I am happy that so many newcomers are embracing LINUX. However the FUN of USING
LINUX comes from the DO IT YOURSELF fire in the person. For starters let me say
that I started using Linux (Installing, Programing, MeSsInGUp etc) when I had
HARDLY ANY COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE. All I had was a new computer at home with DOS
and Win16 in it and a Slackware Linux Distribution CD with all the
DOCUMENTATION WHICH COMES WITH LINUX and a DETERMINATION to catch this computer
bug well in time.

Every One in the LIST is for helping Linux users. However One would expect the
newcomers to go thro the documentation available in the system and trying
it before asking questions on the list. Also please check the ARCHIEVES before
REPEATING a Question.

a) Regarding PROXY and Dailin/DailOut Server

Check out the archieves and the Documention in your linux system.
( Keywords : squid, proxy, mail, mgetty, ipmasquarading )

b)Regarding softwares like Delphi, Clarion etc for Rapid application
 development?

Check out GLADE, KDEVELOP, or at the lower level the GTK++ and QT libraries,
these are very well thought out libraries or Aplication Frameworks for
developing GUI apps. They are easy to program.

What exactly do you mean here ( any Application frame work (if so the above
answer should suffice along with maybe CORBA, Java, Clustering etc.) )

Depends on how you look at them.
