The stuff about explorer looking for the SAME table as it was
earlier - I don't think it is true. I have win98 on my m/c and have added
and removed several partitions on innumerable occasions in almost all
possible permutations - both while adding primary partitions for a
different OS and while adding and removing logical drives, I find windoze
handles the changes pretty well. Reinstalling is a thing I do often with
windows, mostly because of it's in-built instability, but never have I
done it for this reason.

As far as the installation goes I don't think the order makes any
difference at all.

As for the problems with disk druid U faced with RH5.2 I have faced the
same problems but they have completely disappeared in the RH6.1. Also U
may have noticed that the logical drives were not identified. Anyway all's
well that end's well...

Yo Aditya,
I think u'r problem will be well and truely solved if only U used
the windoze fdisk instead of the Linux-fdisk. The reason - I'm sorry I'm
not sure. Also U have here created an extended partition, but have U
created the logical drives in them using dos-fdisk. If not, rest assured
that this is the cause for the crash... Also as a matter of advice, it is
best to have windoze (in fact - all MS-OS'es) on the primary disk whearas
OS's like OS/2 and linux work equally well from the slave. Also the pblm
is not very clear (from the mail). If only U could elaborate, maybe we
could find a solution... You can even catch me personally at
narain.cr@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and we could give it a try...

Bye.

Narain.
