Hi Anand and Goswami,
WEhy dont you guys install kwdial from www.freshmeat.net.Its simple to use and works just like your dial up networking with hardly any cranky configuration hassles My answer may not be the solution to your problems but it can be a better way to get net acces via linux

Now my kppp is connectig to net all i did was that i added a option in pppd
i.e. "noauth" for no authorization but the problem is that i cant surf or do
any kind of data transfer !!!! what should i do.


my resolv.conf is something like this

                search bom6.vsnl.net.in
                nameserver 202.54.1.30


what should i do now
