Use SAX from SuSE if you want a wizard type Video setup for X. BTW , the
card you are referring to is working due to the noaccel option and the
Chipset defination only. VideoRAM is normally probed by default- the text
you see scrolling by when you start X. All the other options are cosmetic.
If you really want Maximum control over your video Resolution, run xvidtune
and copy the parameters in it to your xf86config file.( after tweaking your
monitor to your heart's content) . I managed to coax my old  fixed frequency
TVM monitor to splutter out 1024x768 at 67 HZ due to xvidtune. Multisync
monitors manage oddball resolutions of 1142 .... etc.
