Re: [LI] FTP not started

Hi

Check for the file
/usr/sbin/in.ftpd
If this is not present install the "ftpd" rpm from the CD.

Subject: FTP not started

Hello,

I,ve got a problem with the Linux web server that we are trying to put
up
with Linux (Redhat 5.2) that FTP is not running. There is an entry in
the
/etc/inetd.conf file alll right but there is no entry in the
/etc/protocols
file. Is this the issue? And what entry should one make.....will it
get
this running? And the entries in /etc/services also exist.

Please do help.

Thanks in advance,

Praveen.
