[LI] fstab entry

Hi guys
My /etc/fstab has a entry which i havent been able to decipher . Can u
please tell me what it is all about

/ect/fstab entry

none     /dev/pts   devpts gid=5 mode=620 0 0

1.    Is it any pointing device ( i just have a simple mouse)??
2.    Is it safe to delete the entry from the file
