Really? I find that perl scripting in xchat makes it more
configurable than other on-emacs irc clients (stands to reason that
emacsen based irc clients are way more powerful than anything
else,apart from being arch nuetral ;-)
I guess that if I learned bitchx scripting my argument would
be moot, but i prefer not to spend my rapidly dwindling grey cells on
learning yet another language, specially one with such a narrow focus
-- Perl and emacs-lisp I use daily anyway.
