Check with your SBlive. I am not sure they come with an on-board amp. If
they do, you can. If they don't, you stand the danger of really draining
your card to the point of permanent damage by overheating of circuits.
Go through the specs. 

It is usually a good idea NOT to use the on-board amp on your sound
card. I plan to use [next month onwards] an amp in series for similar
output. It produces better sound and interferences from within the
cabinet are NOT amplified along with the signal, this way. Be sure to
use readymade cables of good quality and the shorter the line-out from
computer to line-in to amp, the better.
