Subject: [LI] fw: [PLUG-Mail] SiS 6215c in the latest XFree86 Distro

| Hello all
|
| Got this in my mailbox today -- hope this helps - to all of us who
| have problems with SiS cards.
|
| AFAIK, PCQ is bringing out a CD with Redhat 6 in November. They
| could include this XFree86 server (if not done already). This has not
| cropped up in this particular forum afaict, so ...
|
| If it is old hat to you lot, my apologies.

|
| I checked out the solution u suggested for my SiS6215C but i think
| thats not the right thing to do.. so i surfed on for a better
| solution.. I found that @ the site Xfree86.org.. they have a new X
| server version 3.3.5.. the latest! and the XFree86 SVGA server now
| supports SiS6C215.. according to the hardware compatibility list
|
| 12 .tgz files required for the Xfree86 instalation
