yeah Actually the kde packages are heavy weight packages. In case you want
to download them check out at

http://kde.tdyc.com

Choose slink or potato directory accordingly.

On my HDD they are taking up around 24 MB all of them.
BUt , can choose the ones which you might not want.
You can just chhose kdebase, support libs, qt and kdenetwork
in cause you just want the network thing.
