Hi Sushant,
	What do you mean by 'allocate a name'. Do you want the new name to
be visible from outside? From what I know, your college has bought the
domain name 'pes.edu'. You have to get the new name onto a DNS
server...which requires  some money. So even if you name your host, it is
accessible fromm outside only by its IP. (unless it is the already
registered name).

	
	I may be wrong though.
