quite some time.

Are SiS cards (the 6215 one .. found everywhere) still the most talked
about cards for that painful configuration and ....

That's the normal practice. Is there any other? You have to partition so
as to have >1 OSes on your comp.

Win too can read .. there are some softwares. But I hear that they are not
quite reliable. And as far as things go for me .. I'd _never_ trust a
Winduhs application touching my Linux partition.

The 2.2 kernel gives you an option to have a r/w access to the NT
partition .. with a *clear* warning that it's very much risky! 

I don't use NT or windows ... anyone more experienced can enlighten us.

Should be decent. But I'd definitely go for 128 MB RAM ... it's worth it.
'cos once you start using many applications simultaneously (which you are
tempted to since Linux seems to run them all effortlessly), swapping to HD
might start from where onwards, the system starts slowing down a bit.


Of course ... these are not expert opinions. I wrote because I have just
joined the list, and it feels nice to be back again.
