[LI] mtv and tv tuner problem

I have installed mtv after d/l from mpeg site. It is
getting started.
But when i choose option play vcd, it says 'Playing'.
But it doesn't
play. drive is also locked. it is not getting locked.
I have installed xawtv for trying to see tv using
Pixel view 3D AGP
combo
tv. Before the program starts, i got no /dev/video. I
went to /dev and
did touch video. Now i get wrong video device. How to
proceed.
But in win98 I could play vcd using mediaplayer and tv
using tvtap from
pixelview (prolink).
