Hello Abdul,
	
	I personally prefer terminal based logins to VSNL as PAP is unreliable.
Do u have any failures through terminal logins also?
	
	Alternatively, U can also take a peek at the various LCP entries in
/etc/ppp/options and increase the time out values.
