[LI] How to use Lynx under proxy

hi all
   My linux box is connectedto a win NT network and one m/c on the lan act as 
a proxy server. I can access Net from X ( I have just specfied the proxy 
address in netscape)
 But when I try lynx( say lynx http://yahoo.com) the following message 
sequence comes

   looking up yahoo.com
   making http connection to yahoo.com
   (after one or two minutes)
  cant acces startup file

 I have set both my nameserver address as well as default gateway address to 
the  proxy's Ip.
 Is there any place i should set proxy address in lynx

 can anbody tell me what is the problem
