[Linux-India] Re: NO SWAP! NO RAM!

Please add the swap partition to the /etc/fstab file , then run the command swapon 
on that partition , thne free will show you the swap.
It depends on the installation procedure .. I do not know how you have installed
did you use fdisk to create the partitions , did the system prompt for swap 
partition for mkswap etc...
anyway it doesnt matter just add the swap partition to /etc/fstab and it will
start working
