hi anil,
           yes it is possible before you ask any more questions you need to
answer the following your self and work your way out

1) is the client in japan on the net through dial up access or dedicated
access.
2) if he is on  dial up access you can as him to run a web server and run some
utilities like dynip ( http://www.dynip.com) from where he can have a shared
folder for you to download and upload.
3) u can ause any standard browser or any ftp cleint depending or your need.
