Actually, I don't get any icon at all. All I get is a white box asking me
to enter the login name and password. But instead of using xdm, if I use
kdm( by typing kdm_on ) at the command prompt, I get a nice graphical login
prompt with the PCQ logo.

How did you get to the option "noaccel" solution? And do you know how I can
get rid of the "KCharset: Wrong Charset!" message?
