I don't know about the gcc stuff, but I do know that it generates byte codes
for me, and those byte codes work just fine. I don't do programming in
Windows so I can't say much about Symantec Cafe also.
As far as kaffe is concerned, it crashes on my RH 5.2 system giving some
error about code verification. However, a later version which I'm using on
RH 6.0 works just fine. In fact, it gives me a better looking AWT GUI than
the JDK.
