ILUG-Hyd minutes...

Hi,

The Hyderabad chapter of the ILUG met yesterday. This was the fourth meeting
of the group. The members are growing with every meeting. About 30-35 ppl
attended the meeting.

The meeting started off with the ppl introducing themselves.

Then Khader took over and gave a demo of VMWARE ? the software with which
M$-Windows (All kinds) can be run on a virtual machine inside a window thru
X. Then he gave a demo of MTV, the S/W used to play Video files of all
formats..



The real surprise and one of the best news ever heard in ILUG-Hyd came next.
Mr. Bhairav Prasad announced that a private ISP who are launching their
service in Hyderabad are in contact with ?Linus Torvalds? and he has agreed
in principle to visit Hyderabad and inaugurate their services. He is
expected to be here sometime in august. ILUG-Hyd is planning a grand
reception for him and will try to make his visit a memorable one for him and
for all of us?



 After all the excitement generated by that news subsided we discussed some
of the problems that our members had.



The meeting was held at Wilshire Software, ashok nagar courtesy Mrs. Madhu.

I take this opportunity to thank him on behalf of our group for being so
generous and letting us use his facilities.
