Network problem

Dear friends,

I recently installed linux from pc quest CD-Rom.
Problem is my machine is not connecting to the network. I gave all the 
options correctly in netconf.

When i do ping it is saying "network unreachable".

My network card is "smc-ultra".

Kindly somebody help me regarding this problem.
