S3 trio..is is supported or not?

Hi,
64 trio v2 gx/dx is listed as a supported card but many people including
myself have not been able to use the S3 server. So is it or is it not
supported? Has anybody been able to get more than 16colous with this card?
Also does anybody know when is the latest version of XFree86 (ver 3.3.3.4 i
guess) being released? Their site says it was supposed to be released some
time in june.
