Re: Getting Linux back - pls hlp



Hi,
  Follow the foll. steps:
1. Assuming F: as the cdrom drive.
   F:\> cd dosutils
   F:\dosutils> loadlin autoboot\vmlinuz root=/dev/hda3

  Here I'm assuming hda3 as your / partition. Whichever it is ,please use that. You can find it out by using fdisk. The primary partition is /dev/hda1. Your extended partition is /dev/hda2. The first logical drive on the extended partition is /dev/hda3 and so on.
The above command will boot into linux.

2. Login as root and do the following
   root# /sbin/lilo

All will be as before.
