Yamaha sound card not working in Linux RH5.2

Hi Linuxers ..

I have a 'cheap' YAMAHA PCI card..can any1 help me configure it in
RH5.2..it runs audiocds ok..but nuhthing else.

I've tried sndconfig...its first says..
PCI SOUNDCARD DETECTED
MODEL- Unknown

Then says..No Pnp or PCI card detected..choose from list
I've tried verious combinations in the list but nuthing seems to work.

The card works perfectly fine under Win95..!!
